A Study on the Academic Achievements Related to the School Life Satisfaction of University Students(Major in Occupational Therapy)

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate how the School Life Satisfaction impact on the academic achievements of students who major in occupational therapy. The subjects in this study were dept. of occupational therapy 32 students of a college in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The Student Adjustment Test¥° was performed, converted to T scores using the first semester grades, except for the liberal arts, in order to ensure academic achievement. The results of the study were as follows. The results of The Student Adjustment Test¥° were classified as 10(31.3%) in low-risk group, 11(34.4%) in intermediate-risk group, and 12(34.4%) in high-risk group. In Groups according to the confident career majors, there was a significant difference in the academic achievements. And, in the other parts, there was no obvious statistical difference. The analysis of "how school satisfaction impacts on academic achievements" shows that the confidence in the majors for career affects positively on students academic achievements.
